Its been 5 days of work and finally the weekend!! Went over to the IT Fair to check things out and ended getting meself 2 harddrives..prettty good deal..now i feel secure as ever. Lol.

I know i know..i haven't been updating much...mainly cause working life has sucked me dry in terms of my time. But i'm gradually getting use to it, waking up early, going to work, coming home to enjoy my freedom time and making the best of my weekends. Now that i'm working, weekends are so precious to me but they also end pretty damn fast too. =( Having said all that, i'm pretty happy with how things are..and i'm thankful i even get to work from home sometimes. heh heh

This morning I dropped my old fossil watch face down..the glass was intact but 3 metal parts inside dropped off and the watch function ain't working no more..so it kinda looks like a water-less snowglobe now. With things flying inside and totally useless.

Nic wasn't in office today, so I joined my colleagues for lunch, it is my second time doing that and i have confirmed that it is way too awkward to eat with them. Nobody talks man!

The finale was on the way home, when I boarded the bus and sat on my seat I realized there was bird shit on my new bag..and it had spread to my tshirt. :/ lucky I had a spare tshirt to wipe the shit off. I really should carry a packet of tissue in my bag in future man.

Now i know why working people hate mondays...the feeling is so darn sian. Today hasn't been the best of days, i thought i could take no. 14 from lido there, but apparently not.....so i had to walk to outside tangs, take another bus and wait again. And when i'm in bus 14, mr Bus driver decided to take a crap. For like 10 freaking minutes. I left my house early today hoping to go to work early, but UNCLE CRAPPER decides to take 10 min of my life. Argh. The rest of the day i was just plain sleeepy..kept dozing off and i couldn't take my power nap cause i was in the main office today as nic wasn't around. And just when i thought the worse of the day was over, some auntie on the bus stepped on my already bruised toe! arghhhhhh. ksjdaflksjdflkjaslk;dfjskldjfklsd. Cant wait for today to passssss. >=|

A New Chapter

Tomorrow will be my first day of my working life and i'm having pretty mixed feelings about it. In a way i'm happy that i'm going to start earning my own cash! And at the same time i dread having to wake up early 5 days a week. But i guess thats life and i will get used to it eventually.

Life has been pretty good, after having gone to bangkok with my girl and now getting the chance to go to Japan Hokkaido with my family is something i totally didn't expect. So 3 weeks into work and i will be having a short 2 weeks break!

OK the bottom line of the week is.....i finally got my iMAC! It was a really impromtu decision but....Woohoo..me so happy, so so so HAPPY! I also managed to get a pair of grey jeans from Uniglo. Im starting to like ION alot cause every time i go there i seem to get something new. Haha.

My new "baby" looking good in ma room, I LOVVVVVE IT! =) *Ps: But dun worry baby gal, i still love u 2 hehe.

Gracie's sista is in town and we headed to Mornington for Strawberry Picking. It was a good experience and i have came to the conclusion that i'm not a very good strawberry picker, cause all the RED RED ones which i thought was suppose to be sweet turned out sour. =/

Today, all my furnitures has been cleared..the house is left with our belongings and beds. Its kinda sad, this feeling of having to leave all this behind. So much good memories in this house with my baby girl and our lil one, Buttons. The time we spent together is priceless and i enjoyed every single moment of it.

On Sunday, we will be giving Buttons to someone who's willing to adopt him. I really do hope she takes good care of him. I'm going to miss him dearly. =(

SIGH. In a blink of an eye, 3 years has passed and my chapter of Uni life is going to close. The 3 main things I will miss about Melbourne itself is the weather, people and my freedom. Not having to sweat all day feels really good and seeing random people smile and being so polite everywhere is really heartwarming. I feel that i've learnt alot in this 3 years overseas, like being independant, tackling my own problems, managing finances..etc. I'm thankful for this great experience and i'm glad that i have done really well in Uni and made my parents proud.

Very soon it will be THE working life, which i do look forward to. I will be contacting a 2d Animation Company for an interview and i really hope i get the job with them. It would be a good stepping stone towards my ideal goal.

There's really alot i have to say but i guess for all the good times i've had, there will be more good times ahead!

The gf decided to give me a surprise treat at DRACULAS as my graduation gift =) I've always wanted to visit it since Year 1. Its located just beside my building, and i walk past it every time i go for classes, and now i finally got to go in!

It was kind of a cabaret, but it was a nice experience. The interesting part was the beginning where we were led to a small train ride in total darkness and the freaky things surrounding us started to make noises and effects. The train led us to our dining seats area. I thought the decoration and theme was pretty cool, since i'm into draculas and freaky stuff. Waitresses and Waiters were dressed in scary outfits with one ecstatic attitude. Lol. For a moment, i wished i was working there. But only for a moment.

Anyway, i had a good time =) Thank you baby!

Finally the day that all we students have been waiting for has finally arrived. I was honored to be chosen as part of the 18 students out of 55, to have their work showcased on the big screen at ACMI. All my hard work on "TED" for the past 2 Semesters has paid off. I must say im really proud of myself. Im glad the event turned out to be a wonderful success. A special thanks to my baby girl, Soong Fee, Jasmine, Carl and Joel for turning up! I really appreciate it. =)

My first fishing trip with the guys at Frankston. I caught a flathead! Not bad for a first timer huh..feels good to catch and cook your own fish.

Our 2 Year Anniversary Getaway @ Daylesford, i had an awesome time just chilllinnn all day long. And i miss the home theatre room! =(

Buttons. We have finally decided on Button's future adoption owner. She seems like a nice person, I think that she will take good care of him, and that leaves us with a peace of mind before i leave Melbourne. I will be passing Buttons to her sometime in December. As much as i would like to bring him back, its the practical thing to do. At least i know he will be in safe hands and i can still visit him. Im gonna miss my baby boy like hell. =(

Furnitures. Now that im selling my furnitures away, my house is slowly getting bare. I still have my fridge and washing machine to worry about. Argh.

Since i have so much free time lately, i decided to upgrade my Macbook Pro's Harddrive to 320GB and install bootcamp so that i can have Windows 7 inside. Windows ain't my favourite OS, but its the only way to get games on my laptop. NOW i'm totally addicted to Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor. Woohoo i love my mac.

So the guys ( Marc and Zul) decided to come over to my place for a swim and play some Xbox. I got my first taste of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2! Woohoo..i'm so gonna get it when i get back to Singapore. I have came to a conclusion that the pool's water is too highly concentrated with a shitload of chlorine cause every time i swim in it, my eyes get blur and stings for at least 6 hours.

Did i mention that the weather is SO FREAKING HOT?! It makes me wonder how i managed to survive such a weather in Singapore for the past 25 years?! I look forward to many things in Sg, but definitely not the humidity.

At night, the gf and i finally got to watch JEFF DUNHAM liveeee!! We've been waiting for this for some time now. Achmed the Dead Terrorist totally cracks me up. All in all i think it was a pretty good experience for a live comedy. Now i wish to see Russell Peters next!!!!

School days of my life has officially ended..now i'm only left with my assignments and i'm done with Uni.

In a blink of an eye, Mr T has come and left Melbourne. What a quick 5 days it has been. I'm really happy he kept his word to come this time haha. We went to the city, rented cars, chased taxis, visited St Kilda, DFO @ Essendon, Crown, Kart racing at Auscarts. The gf and i managed to get him to join the scrabble club and we even got locked out of the Apartment at 12am, lucky we were able to put up at Lish's for the night. Thanks again Lish, Sfee and Jasmine!

Dream...car?

I had a dream last night, i dreamt that i bought a Lambourgini and i was ecstatically happy. Holding that firm steering wheel in my hands, the smelll of the car and the sound of the engine roaring...DAMN! I was totally living it man. I even went to pick my dad up and he was so proud of me, he went " Wa! Rat yaya ar!" (yea my papa calls me Rat), then i handed him the car keys and he took it on a spin. Even my mom was not complaining though i was expecting that she would. And then something hit me, i thought to myself, " O CRAP, now that i've spent all my money on my Lambo, i've got nothing left. I should have bought a Golf GTI instead!!! And still have some spare cash."

SIGH. I NOW know what it means by "Dream Car". Dreams will be dreams but i will work towards my GTI or Audi someday, LIVING the dream.

Everything is pretty much on track work wise. I am now in the comfort zone where i can do my work with not much pressure. Date has also been set to move out of the apartment. It's going to be a pain in the arse trying to sell my stuff away. I shall be writing a list up, and posting it on facebook or something so you guys can check it out and see if you want anything. So many things to do...Gotta find accomodation for my parents when they come over, gotta find someone to adopt my baby Buttons =(, gotta clear the house, gotta settle the bills....etc. I finally managed to find someone to rent my parking space, for these last couple of months before i move out. Ah well, i should have done this long ago. This tuesday will be my Golden Key Induction and Cert ceremony, just gonna get my cert and get the hell outta there. I am so looking forward to a trip to bangkok,vietnam, taiwan or hongkong with my bros before i start the working life.

So last night i decided to have a mini pot luck for the barker boys and baby girl's girlfriends. Yesterday i finally got my copy of Snow Leopard! And the amazing thing about it was it free-ed up 10GB of space for me on my mac pro whilst keeping all my previous documents and softwares intact. So i would highly recommend this upgrade if your a current leopard user.

Last night, my baby girl and i decided to go on our mini movie date, we caught "The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3". I think it was pretty good, the actors were awesome. Next week is my Mid Semester Break and i think it's a good time for me to start on my Professional Practice assignment. I REALLY DREAD DOING IT, because we are suppose to come up with some kind of business plan proposal and that shit is totally out of my league. If there's any business students out there reading my blog, i would appreciate your help and guidance. Haha. My Final Year Project is going pretty much on schedule, having done most of the animations. What's left is some secondary animations and using After Effects for the "Special Effects".

The weeks and months are passing really fast. I should really make full use of the remaining months to spend the time with my baby girl, baby buttons and friends before i graduate. =(

Wed-Fri: Cuzzy Lorna was here with her Hubby for a 2 days +. As it was a really short trip, i could only bring them around the city area. If only they could extend the trip, they could join us on our daytrip to Dandenong on Sat.

Fri Night: It was the first time i tried p.o.t and i couldn't seem to get any of its effects except some cloudiness in sight,a stinky breathe and a bad throat! Just wanted to try it at least once in my life, and quite frankly, i don't really see what's the hype about it. My friends were laughing like nuts and i had no idea what they were laughing about. But hey, its worth the experience =)

So together with 4 girls ( Gf, Elaine, Weixuan and Eunice) , we rented a tiny car and drove up to Mt Dandenong for a short day trip. It was a good time to chill out from all the work at school. And finally, i get to drive again! I miss driving! Anyway these are just a few of the shots i took from my phone..will have more in facebook when the girls upload them. To end the day off, we had a nice soupy dinner at the Girls' place. A "fruitful" Day as my baby girl might say =D

Its the end of week 1 and i'm already feeling the pressure of my Final Year Project. 13 weeks is all i've got. And i know time will just wizz past quickly. I will be seeing my Tablet, Flash and my trusty Macbook Pro alot this semester. May both my external backup harddisk drives not fail me this semester. I can do this..i must do this. I shall be posting updates in my work blog as i progress.

Yep..school's starting again next Monday, and timetables are set. It'll be a 3 day school week for me. I wonder how this final semester is gonna be like. This Saturday will be Paintballing day aka bruises day, quite excited about it.

Yesterday i had a sudden craving for Beef Beehoon, so i searched the internet and found a pic that really made me drool. Ah it so reminds me of the beef beehoon Benjie Bro and i used to eat at the SP Alumni place. So i decided to make my own version, with the help of Cuzzy Carin..haha. Not too bad! At least i got the sauce and beef almost right, i think. LOL. I HAD to add in mushrooms. Next time i should try it with the black bean sauce thats supposed to be inside. I REALLY MISS SINGAPORE FOOD BADLY. =(

Buttons and Juno

Its already been a week since Juno came over. When Juno first came, she totally hated Buttons, snaring and hissing, trying to hide away from him in the kitchen and refusing to eat or drink for almost two days. Buttons on the other hand, was persistent in pursuing her. And i think his efforts paid off. Cause for the next 5 days, they have became so close to each other. I could see that Buttons constantly tried to hump her. HAHA. Incest? But its a cats world i guess, anything goes. Its really sad to see them get separated again. I can see Buttons misses Juno already =( But i'm sure they will get to meet each other again, someday. =)

The GF has fallen sick, so i accompanied her to the docs. And got myself a flue jab in the process, might as well since i was there. After that we went to the movies cause we already pre booked our tickets for Bruno. We checked out this movie place at collins which was really cheap and reasonable. The cheapest movie deal i've seen in australia at just AUS$7 per person. BRUNO is seriously full of shit. I love the part where he was at the Tarot Reading place. But the show was entertaining nonetheless.

Dina is going to Sydney and it's our turn to take care of her lil kitty Juno, Button's sister. =) They don't seem to get along too well, and buttons is ever so KAJIAO, smelling everything that belongs to Juno and trying to mark his territory even on her cat litter. It's day 2 today, i hope they start to get use to each other and get along.

I've been thinking whether i should get the iPhone 3GS from Apple at an upfront price of AUS879 unlocked..its so damn tempting, but the only bad thing about it is that it's warranty is for only for a year in Australia only, and im heading back to SG end of this year. Sigh. Maybe i should wait to see if the new firmware 3.1 fixes my current iPhone's wifi. Without wifi it feels so handicapped.

Just realized its the 4th of July today..not that i have anything to do with it. Heh. Anyway, speaking of America reminds me of Michael Jackson and its really sad how the legend is gone. I still remember attending his Dangerous world tour in Singapore with my Mom and Sis at the stadium sometime in 1993? That was my first live concert and according to my mom, the first time she saw me dancing. Haha, NOT that i recall any of that. Anyway, despite what accusations were made of him, i feel that we shouldn't forget his talents and phenomenal presence. He was indeed a legend. No doubt.

For those of you who haven't seen this, its his final rehearsal of a supposedly upcoming " This is it" concert before he died. What a performance it would have been man.

A New Chapter

So the Gf and i headed to Sydney for the weekend to catch some fresh air. It was a pretty good trip i must say =)

I personally think that the people in Sydney ain't as friendly as Melbourne. But what impressed me was the double deckered trains and the Fish Market. Looking at huge fresh fishes can really make one drool, the sight of seafood makes me smile. Another highlight was the super cool APPLE STORE...damnn....i was really really really tempted to get the iPhone 3GS, as they were selling it unlocked and at an upfront price! =( Other places we visited were the Opera House, the nice huge park beside it, Harbor bridge, Chinese Garden, Bondi beach, Chinatown, Darlinghurst (Some Gayish Area) ..etc. Din Tai Fung and Harry's Chilli Crab were 2 huge disappointments, the noodles at Din Tai Fung taste like the chinese version of spaghetti and the Chilli Crab..is NOTHING like Singapore as they claim. They can fool those Ang Mors, but they can't fool us Singaporeans. It is overrated. I MISS NO SIGNBOARD.

Pancakes On the Rocks and the seafood at the Fish Market was good though. And we even joined the Ghost Tour at the Rocks. It was alil disappointing though, i expected it to be really scary but the guide seemed to be making jokes throughout. =/ I took some pictures but can't seem to find any orbs or anything unusual in them.

All in all, there was alot of walking, exploring, getting lost, hungry moments...but i had fun with my baby girl. There is too many pics to upload here, so i'll just take the short cut and upload them into facebook =)

P.s : Im so happy to see my Buttons again =) Missed him sooo much!

So this is what i been up to recently, painting and repainting about 4 times now and now its finally up to an acceptable standard. It's not perfect, still got a few kinks to touch up but i think its a pretty good start for a novice ey? hehe. Hand painting really ain't as easy as it may look but its funnn. Next thing i wanna try is spray painting and modeling characters out of clay, that would be fun.

I just realized that this holiday is pretty short, and i better start on my Final Year Project sometime next week to get the ball rolling...

Ah..so fast and its June 11 again. I think as i grow older, the thought of a birthday is just another year passed again. Its not like before, where i would look forward to it. The whole mentality has changed. Maybe its just me. Haha.

The day was pretty simple, went to school for my last class of the semester. Met the Gf to get some paints and look for my Aviators. Had lunch, went to watch Terminator Salvation. Then met Gracie's dad where we all had dinner at Crown.

I've got a nice fossil watch from the gf, a pair of aviators from Pa, and a trip to Sydney from Mommy and a few hong paosss. I'm just grateful for my family, my baby girl and some awesome friends =) Its the best gift i could get. =)

I'm really excited cause i just ordered a 70mm Ironman metal cast unpainted model from eBay today. And it is flying on the way from UK as i type right now. Hehe. It's my first purchase from eBay, hope everything goes as planned. Can't wait.

On a random note, it has occurred to me that perhaps Koreans do not like cats. This is proven on 2 occasions when my cleaners came. Like today, i just got real negative vibes from them. And they didn't even clean the rooms! Usually before they leave they would ask me to sign a form, but not today. O well, at least they cleaned the toilet really clean and i was surprised to see the dustbin cover cleaned too. Haha.

Yesterday was a horrible day. I decided to visit the docs during my lunch break, and got some med from the pharmacy. Wondering why the doc didn't give me any med for my cough, i wanted to get some lozenges. The Pharmacist asked what my allergies were and recommended this particular lozenges. Headed back to class, took the tablets, and one hour later, my eyes started to swell up like a gold fish. I left class and headed back to the docs, where he told me the pharmacist gave me something i was allergic to and his nurse gave me a jab in the ass. =/ Waited in the docs for an hour plus cause he said he wanted to monitor the situation. What really pisses me off is the pharmacies wouldn't refund my money or even let me change the lozenges for something else. That's way ridiculous man.

I guess the only comforting thing is my cough is actually getting better.

Was just doing some Visual Styles development for my Concept Development. And this is potentially a Final Year Project for next Semester. Which Visual Style do you like? Do let me know yea =)

A rough summary of the storyline goes like this- Boy in the backseat of car while dad drives. Boy is bored, makes funny faces at his stuff toy. Stuff toy reacts by making a funny face back at him. Boy is shocked and tells dad. Dad doesn't believe him. Boy is frustrated, he throws toy out of car. Dad picks it up and warns boy not to do it again. Dad hears window screen opening again, yells at son and as he looks through the rear view mirror, finds his son missing. Dad turns around to see the empty backseat and the stuff toy looking at him, ready to pounce. Car starts to swerve around crazily and finally crashes into a pole/ tree.

Tomorrow school starts again for me, how quick easter passes. But i'm glad i still have the weekend. Little Buttons is sleeping yet again, and i think he sleeps as much as me. Haha. Yeap, this is Buttons. Now SAY HIIII! The gf and i decided to adopt a kitty from this guy who had like 5-8 cats in his house. It kept mass producing, so we did our part, and coincidentally today is also our special day! Hehe. Buttons is cute beyond words, his also a really good kitty, he just likes sleeping on my bed lol. If only his the same age as Princess Jolie, they would be great together.

I never thought i would be hooked on to anime until i started watching the series Vampire Knight. I'm just done with season 1, and moving onto season 2 =) Vampires and animation...what could go wrong. It's really great inspiration. And the song..it's "awesomely" gothic. I love it.

Last night, me and the gf decided to watch our first 3D full length animation ALIENS VS MONSTERS at Crown. And i must say it's pretty darn cool! Even the 3D glasses were pretty cool, not those typical blue and red ones we used to have in primary school. I guess the price can be overlooked. It's been a rather lazy day for me today..didn't feel like doing much. So i just did abit of work and pretty much slacked the rest of it. It's gonna be the Easter break this Thurs till the following Tues..woohoo.

Lunch: I'm not exactly sure what this is, just fried the calamari with some yellow noodles and ketchup. With some greensss. Me like greeens.

Dinner: Wanted to try something different other than the usual steamed fish..so i tried baking it..didn't turn out too bad! And it's not messy too heh. Just marinate everything and wrap with foil..wala!

Well the first half of my day was pretty moodless...just didn't have the inspiration or motivation to do anything..but i guess it got better after a good nap in the afternoon, plus the good news that my cousin is coming over to Melb to visit!=)

Just got back from the supermarket with the GF and finally we bought replacement light bulbs for the living room..since....we came back? haha. I've recently just finish watching this Vampire series "True Blood", and waiting for season 2 to come out, along with Prison Break, Dexter and Nip Tuck! They are the best shows ever.

Check this China dude out...first time i see ppl eating rice on a plate with chopsticks..heh. I'm not making fun of him..i just find it rather interesting.

Once again the week has passed by quickly. My internet limit has reached the 80 percent point when it's only at 60 percent of the days to renewing. This really sucks. Yesterday i went to the gym in this condo for the first time, and decided i should start running, so by the time my IPPT window opens again next year, i should be ready to face the 2.4km track. Once again the stress of my Final Year Project next Sem is bugging me in waves. I'm still deciding if i should do a 2d or 3d animation. It really is a tough call.

F1 was pretty exciting this year, Ferrari was a disappointment yet again. I only watched the last 5 laps, but i guess that's where the action was. I always watch F1 in admiration. The sounds of the engine roars can be heard from my apartment and it's calling out to me to go for some Karting soon, it's been awhile.....vRooommmm.

I'm glad the longest day of the week is over. Yesterday was spent at docklands celebrating Lishy's birthday.

I've been pretty lazy to blog lately..there's heaps of work to do every week. Here's some stuff i been doing..

3D. We were to create 5 different cycles, a walk, run, jump, carrying a heavy object and a throw action...and here's 3 so far..it's not complete yet..have yet to polish it up. Just imagine it's looping for now...=D I didn't make the character btw, as the assignment was based on animation itself, we could use any rig we wanted, so i took it off a website.

Visual Effects. Learnt some cool stuff we could do in After Effects....Just today we learnt Motion Tracking..can't wait to do the exercise on that. I'm just really amazed by what after effects can achieve..it's used so much in Movies these days and so seamless. Like the lecturer today, his company actually did the visual effects for some movies like Australia, Charlottes Web and House of Flying Daggers. It's really inspiring. It's one of those days where lecture was actually worth going to.

Decided to catch Paul Blart: Mall Cop to get some stress off my back with the gf, Lish and Tim. It was quite disappointing, i expected it to be really funny according to the adverts! I think they already showed all the funny parts on TV.

Metal Gear Solid Touch is out!! All you iphone owners out there, get it get it! And i can't wait for the new 3.0 firmware to be released to public, so many new features..this phone never disappoints me. I know i know ..i'm so geeky yea..but who cares! =)

I was at the library on thursday cause we had to borrow a book for one of my subjects. So i visited 3 libraries, trying to find for the right book. But it just couldn't happen! I think it's my first time spending so much time in the library, about close to 4 hours. That's record breaking considering i hardly go to libraries in my life. Well the crappy thing about this whole library thing was i couldn't find the right book. And when i could, i realized that i was not allowed to borrow the books from the State library?! What the?! I thought libraries are for borrowing books?! So i wasted 4 hours of my life just looking at books that i couldn't borrow. And it got me a really bad headache at the end of the day. LIBRARIES SUCK.

Anyways, i managed to find a book at this art gallery near my Wing Chun class. But it cost me AUD79 =( oh well, i think it's a pretty good book for inspiration. And it totally fits my genre of style.

This is kinda random, but i kinda miss playing street soccer at night =(
